Legos + Bikes + Basketball: Saturday As We Know It

Legos + Bikes + Basketball: Saturday As We Know It

Such a sweet family.  I loved getting to start this session by them waking up their sleepy boy.  So fun to capture all of those morning snuggles (I think he was kind of bombarded with the paparazzi in his room! aka, me.)  It's interesting how family routines change as kids get older, or in this case, more littles get added to the mix.  This session was over a year ago and now there is a beautiful little girl who is part of this family.

I'm sure their mornings look different now with high chairs and cheerios, but they will always remember their special times as a family of 3.

An Evening with the Schepemakers: Life As We Know It

What do your evenings look like?  Just a typical night.

For this family, there wasn't anything out of the ordinary or extravagant planned.  But these are the simple things that they will cherish.

Like the kids helping make dinner.  Or the trampoline tricks and sibling races in the backyard.  Or watching The Amazing Race together as a family and cheering on their favorites.  Or bedtime routines of reading the Word and quiet snuggles.

This is the good stuff.

Baby Lennon: In Home Session

This was my FIRST in home session EVAH.  And I didn't really know what I was doing (sorry guys) but nonetheless, this baby girl made it all turn out beautifully.   I hope you guys look back on these and smile at those tiny fingers and tiny toes and all those smiles.

She's adorable even when she cries!

An Evening at Home

I love those evenings where the weather is crisp and just calls for a campfire!  Doesn't happen too often in Texas summers with all of the humidity, but when s'mores are involved, you just make it work.  This was such a fun session capturing these friends having an evening at home.  I hope these images will be something they treasure and can look back on when these two beauties are in high school, remembering the moments that were unique to this specific time in their lives.

Bridge Fellowship Student Takeover Weekend

I love it when passions collide.

In this case, I was able to spend a weekend with some of my FAVORITE people in Houston, Texas while photographing their huge student event at their church.  And it was my birthday.  And I got to eat at Chuy's.

A weekend full of fun, that's for sure!  Here are some of the highlights of the Bridge Fellowship Student Takeover.

Mud Football + Dodgeball

These kids held nothing back.  I thoroughly enjoyed photographing people sloshing around in the mud while I stayed nice and clean. :)  And a good game of dodgeball is always fun to watch.

Worship

Photographing in dark spaces isn't always ideal, but with the stage lighting it was a fun challenge to get some interesting shots.  I loved capturing the intensity of the band, plus the authentic emotion of the students while worshipping.  My favorite parts of the weekend!

Oh, and that handsome guitar player doing a herkie?  That would be my baby daddy.

Did I mention there was a dance party...on my birthday?!  Perfect.
